A farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside,
a secret recipe hidden in a drawer
We are in the Tuscan countryside in between the Valdambra and Siena. In the early 1900s when, at the end of a Sunday lunch, men would gather around a table to play cards and taste a sip of digestive made from wild herbs, picked by the housewives along the Tuscan forest.
After over one hundred years that secret recipe is hidden in the drawer of an old family.
The recipe of a delicious bitter that, as grandma Primetta would tell “was so good that people were coming formale around the country to have a shot”.
Herbs and roots that the Tuscan countryside offers to anyone who ventures into the vegetation and has passion, knowledge and respect for our land.
From a lost recipe,
L’Amaro del Chianti was born.

Thanks t0 Ferruccio aka “Ferro”, pastry chef, chef and with a strong passion for the good things made in a proper way, that ancient recipe has come back to life. The making follows exactly the indications written on the notes from th early 1900s and the herbs, still today, are just the same, picked from the hills and woods of our territory: Chianti.
Besides the same herbs the only modern twist it is the introduction of a different serving temperature: the Amaro del Chianti gets irresistible when served iced.
A unique taste
with its lovely taste, clean and precise, amaro del Chianti brings back sensations and experiences told by our grandparents. With a great taste, it helps you digest but also get together. Iced it is a pleasure for the palate and senses.
Today also used to make the Schiantino®: a super fresh cocktail, perfect right before dinner or to pair with finger food.

Our grandparents were much more than scientists or Michelin-starred chefs. With just a few simple but good ingredients, they knew how to create what we seek today…
